Head of State supervises work for celebration of 50th Anniversary of Independence

In connection with the upcoming celebration of the 50th Anniversary of National Independence, on 12th October, the President of the Republic, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, made a tour of the infrastructure work in progress in the city of Malabo.

The Head of State, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo inspected the work to extend the two new galleries on the Malabo Promenade, covering over 3,000 m�, which was opened in 2013.

The President was informed, through the Minister for Public Works, Diosdado Nsue Medja, regarding the progress of work on the Promenade, where the Malabo population and guests from various nations attending the planned events to mark the anniversary will gather. These events include the large civil and military parade.

The Head of State also supervised the work of refurbishment and improvement of various facilities in Malabo national Park.

During the inspections, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo gave instructions to those responsible from the companies, so that they act swiftly on the work, taking into account that 12th October is imminent.
