The Head of State, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, attended the municipal cemetery of Ela Nguema to join the celebration of the Day of the Deceased. The President wanted to begin the working day of 2nd November by joining the local population, and he went to the cemetery, where he was received by the Metropolitan Archbishop of Malabo, Monsignor Juan Nsue Edjang Maye, the Mayoress of the capital, Maria Coloma Edjanag Maye, and other mayors from the urban districts.
The President of the Republic said a few words in which he mentioned the need to support the Catholic church, the families of the departed, and the departed themselves.
He also praised the cleanliness of the graveyard, and extended congratulations to the municipal central government and the urban districts.
Nsue Edjang then said a solemn Mass for the departed.
