Health Secretary takes part in charity run on International Childhood Cancer Day

Jose Ntutumu EdA� Nchama, Secretary of State for Health for Hospital Coordination, supported the 10 kilometre run for the fight against cancer, which included the British runner Dan Thompson, who within the Run the World challenge, which consists in running a 10 kilometre race in 206 countries, landed on Malabo on 15th February.

The Secretary of State underlined before the media the importance of sport as part of a healthy life, and took part in the challenge to run (or walk) the 10 kilometres, accompanied by Maria JesA�s Evuna Andeme, Director general of the Cabinet of the Minister for Missions within the Presidency, Josue Esono EdA� Corredor, Director General for Tourism Regulation and Statistics, and the kick boxing world champion, Alejandro Asumu Osa.

In the words of the Secretary of State, ,ratified by the rest of the entourage, daily exercise as the ideal complement for lengthening life, improving health and also preventing the appearance of some forms of cancer.

Specifically, 15th February is International Childhood Cancer Day, and so the date of this event was not chosen at random by the Secretary of State, who stated that it is the vision of the President of the Republic, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo which should inspire the entire population to do daily exercise, in order to improve the health of all citizens of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea.
