Huge reception in Bata for President at end of State tour

The population of the capital of the province of Litoral received the President of the Republic, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, on the tour he is making of the entire national territory.

The presidential couple and their entourage arrived in the district of Bata on Monday 18th March, and were received by civil, military and ecclesiastical authorities, together with the general public.

After hearing words of welcome from the Mayor of the city of Bata, they heard speeches from the president of the PDGE District Council, and the Governor of Litoral, who coincided in congratulating the President of the Republic of the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Independence in Equatorial Guinea and the VI Table for Dialogue. They also unanimously rejected the violence, delinquency and acts of vandalism that are currently being seen in our society, and then once again pledged their support for the Government.

H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, before going into detail about the State tour, congratulated the people of Bata, bot natives and foreigners, for the huge reception provided, and their participation in the celebration of the anniversary of independence.

In addition, he added that the reason for the tour was to promote a common reflection on the past of Equatorial Guinea, and a vindication of the maintenance of peace.

Continuing with his speech, the President spoke about the elimination of these delinquent actions, calling on the authorities of justice to use the law as is fitting, and calling on parents to collaborate in the education of their children. The issue of corruption and the good treatment of foreigners were some of the other matters mentioned.
