Continuing their stay in the district of Riaba, within the framework of the State tour that will take them around the entire country, the President of the Republic and the First Lady of the nation oversaw on 21st February the inauguration ceremony for the infrastructure work in the new urban district of Maule, and other work of social interest executed by the Government in this district.
According to the report presented by the Minister for Public Works, Housing and Town Planning, Diosdado Nsue Medja, the work in the new district, the municipal stadium of Riaba, the administrative office and the public market officially opened on the day cost the Government 5,080,000,000 Franco CFA, and were executed in a period of approximately 24 months.
During the ceremony, the people of Maule granted H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo the title of Favourite Father of the town, and to Constancia Mangue de Obiang the title of Honorary Mayoress.
The Head of State, in his words of advice, spoke about the importance of the urban districts decreed throughout the country with the aim of bringing the administration to the most remote areas, and recommended that the population made good use of these modern infrastructures.
He also once again asked them to keep the peace, to give up bad habits, and to create private initiatives that could cover the immediate needs of their respective areas.
