The President of the Senate held a plenary session to report to the top legislative body on the modifications to the working programme at the last minute, with respect to the closing of the work of the Second Ordinary Period of Parliamentary Sessions for 2019.

Just before the closing of the work corresponding to the Second Ordinary Period of Parliamentary Sessions 2019 which is taking place in the city of Bata, and not having completed the dossier of files planned for study within the expected statutory period, the President of the Upper Chamber reported the need to redouble efforts.

With a strong desire to carry out the proposal put by the leader of this top legislative body, the senators met once again in four study groups in order to adapt the act and verdict of the Permanent Commission on Finance, the Economy, Trade and Planning, which will conclude the preliminary study of the General State Budgets on Friday, for subsequent definitive adoption before the Senate Plenary session planned for Saturday at the facilities of the International Palace of Congresses and Conferences in Ngolo, Bata.

Having unanimously adopted the only point on the agenda, Teresa Efua Asangono met officials and directors from the institute in her charge late in the afternoon, and asked for greater urgency in the performance of their duties in order to close this period successfully.
