Inspection visit by Head of State to Malabo Airport

On the afternoon of Friday 11th January, the President of the Republic, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, carried out an inspection visit of Malabo Airport.

The concern of the Head of State is to ensure that the airport is in perfect condition for those travelling to our country for the first time. For that reason the President visited step by step the various sections and compartments of the commercial terminal and the ministerial terminal, in order to see the condition and operations of the installations. This information was provided by the Vice-Minister for Civil Aviation, Luciano Esono Bitegue.

During the visit, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo pointed out to the competent authorities that the airport installations must be maintained in a state of cleanliness, in addition to providing logistics for authorities arriving at the ministerial terminal.

Furthermore, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo asked about progress regarding new building work in progress at Malabo International Airport.
