Inspection visits by Prime Minister continue

The inspections being made by the Prime Minister of the Government, Charged with Administrative Coordination, Francisco Pascual Obama Asue, arrived on Wednesday 7th August in the districts of AAisok, Evinayong and Akurenam, respectively, in order to see first hand the state of maintenance of roads in these districts, and the progress of some social projects commissioned by the Government.

In the district of AAisok, Obama Asue, accompanied by the Minister for Public Works, Housing and Town Planning, Diosdado Nsue Medja, visited construction sites in the new urban district of Akok-Esabok, with the work being carried out by the companies Transfer Action, Terratec, Hige Speed, Giovannis, Nicodesa and Ecomar. The stoppage of the work, for unknown reasons, aroused the interest of the delegation in the work, and a meeting will be planned in order to clarify the situation of abandonment by the aforementioned companies.

In Akurenam, the Prime Minister was received by authorities from this district which belongs to Centro Sur, led by its Government delegate, Marcos Salvador Alogo Nchama.

Obama Asue invited the authorities present to deploy efforts to keep the city clean, through the mobilisation and involvement of the inhabitants of Akurenam in the cleaning, painting and conditioning of their properties. In the same context, he congratulated the authorities present for the good state of maintenance of the Government delegation, while encouraging them to continue with maintenance tasks for the building which belongs to the State.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister once again insisted that each and every one of those present remain vigilant, and report any incident which destabilises peace in the country.

In relation to the state of the roads visited on the day, it was noted that, in contrast to the inspections of Tuesday 6th August, they are in a good state of repair.
