This conference, organised by the CWC Group and SONAGAS, aims to attract investors and transform our country into a gas distribution centre for Africa and the world. The event begins on 4th October, in the city of Sipopo, where the Head of State, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, will give the welcoming speech.
The summit has the full support of the Ministry for Mines and Hydrocarbons, Gepetrol, and the main players in the industry on a regional and global level in the Gulf of Guinea.
During the event, the participants will look at matters such as: the opportunities for and attraction of investors to the petroleum and gas value chain, strategic regional associations for the successful development of upcoming petroleum and gas projects, the importance of the national content, and the creation of partnerships between international and local companies”.
How will the Gulf of Guinea become an integrated centre for petroleum and gas with a prosperous industry? This question will also be one of issues to be debated.
The opening speech by the President of the Republic will focus on strategies to promote the mutual benefits of trade in petroleum and gas in Africa through the regional monetisation of gas.
The Minister for Mines and Hydrocarbons, Gabriel Mbega Obiang Lima, in his speech, will speak about mutually beneficial alliances between Equatorial Guinea and Nigeria in order to promote the development of hydrocarbons in Africa, while the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources from the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Doctor Emmanuel Ibe Kchikwe, in his speech, will refer to the opportunity to attract investors and implement the vision of the Government to diversify the economy.
Those at the conference will also speak about the agreements signed between Equatorial Guinea and other African countries, offers and demands for gas in the Gulf of Guinea region, the opening of new markets for hydrocarbons from Equatorial Guinea in countries such as Ghana, Burkina Faso, Chad and Nigeria, and global trade and markets in LNG for natural gas and LNG from Equatorial Guinea.
