The President of the Republic, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, granted an interview to two European publications: the newspapers La Razon, from Spain, and A�frica Monitor, from Portugal. Diplomatic relations between Equatorial Guinea and Spain and the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP), democracy and its alternations, and national economic diversity were some of the topics of the interview.
The President stressed the good diplomatic relations with other nations, and once again extended a hand to Spain due to their close historic ties.
H E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo stressed the execution of the economic and social development programme Horizonte 2020, and declared that for that reason the III National Economic Conference was being organised, in order to redirect projects that had not been 100% executed and set new development goals for the future.
In another moment during the interview, the Head of State gave a full explanation of the importance of holding the Dialogue Table with legalised parties, which has now met six times, thanks to the contribution and participation of all national political players and ones from the diaspora.
Furthermore, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo declared his willingness to work in order to receive investment from Portuguese companies and other economic operators from the CPLP.
