Within the framework of the activities of the General Secretary of the Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea (PDGE), Jeronimo Osa Osa Ecoro, on Tuesday 23rd January a meeting took place at the headquarters of the District Council of the party in Malabo, with the Ambassador from South Korea, Kim Pyong-ho.
The meeting, which lasted for more than an hour, was the first audience that the General Secretary of the PDGE has granted to the new Ambassador from South Korea to Equatorial Guinea.
The questions regarding the grants policy applied by the South Korean Government in favour of our country was the main subject during the audience.
The South Korean Government provides annually a grant to the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, and Osa Osa Ecoro suggested to the ambassador that the figure might be increased. For his part, the diplomat promised improvement in the area.
The two also spoke about the agreement on the exchange of information in order to coordinate the National Grants Programme, and the strengthening of higher education for Equatoguineans. The Republic of South Korea provides officials in our country with training grants.
During the audience they also covered matters regarding cooperation between the political groupings in the two countries, and the PDGE General Secretary. in the name of the party and the people of Equatorial Guinea, wished the ambassador success in the upcoming Olympic Games to be held in his country.
