The aim of this business fair, which began in Malabo on 23rd May, at the Hotel 3 de Agosto, is to strengthen business capacities. The fair was opened by the Minister for Work, Employment Promotion and Social Security, Alfredo Mitogo Mitogo Ada.
To raise the business standards of Equatoguinean entrepreneurs and those involved in the main sector of the country’s economy, which is petroleum, is another of the aims of the fair, organised by Icubefarm.com.
Around 44 national companies and two from the Republic of Cameroon exhibited their products and services to the public. At this professional encounter, economic operators will be able to commercialise their products and make contact with their counterparts.
The event began with words from the representative of the director of Icubefarm, charged with public relations, Axana Botey, who spoke about the aim of the fair: to capacitate companies so that they can strengthen their business. She also pointed out that the fair served for entrepreneurs to enter the petroleum sector, in order to provide their products or services, We know this sector is very demanding, and for that reason we wish to capacitate you so that standards can be raised, and we are achieving this”.
Also taking part in the fourth fair are entrepreneurs from the Continental Region, coordinated by the Rio Muni Chamber of Commerce. Speaking at the event were the vice-presidents of the Bioko and Rio Muni Chambers, sponsors of the event, which reaffirmed that the private sector is willing to develop in order to meet the purposes of the III NEC which was recently held in the country, and also to increase the capacities of national economic players.
The last business fair was organised in 2018, and this year’s edition is being held following the Third National Economic Conference, to support the national private sector.
