Malabo, venue of the ECCAS-ECOWAS Summit

Members of the Government in Malabo met on Thursday, March 26, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Education and Science, in an extraordinary Interministerial Council to discuss specific issues, most notably the celebration of the Summit of Heads of State of ECCAS and ECOWAS, in early April in Malabo.

The Prime Minister of the Government for Administrative Coordination, Vicente Ehate Tomi, along with the Deputy Prime Ministers, Clemente Engonga Nguema Onguene, Lucas Nguema Esono, and Alfonso Nsue Mokuy, led the extraordinary meeting with members of the Government.

Ehate Tomi, in addition to reporting the decision that the city of Malabo will host the Summit of Heads of State of ECCAS (Economic Community of Central African States) and ECOWAS (Economic Community of West African States) in April, he also asked the heads of the ministerial departments to submit their action plan, taking into account the proximity of the presidential elections in 2016.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister also announced to the members of the Executive they will be given the package of laws approved during the National Dialogue, held between the Government and political parties last November.
