Manuel Mba Nchama, Doctor Honoris Causa in Education and Human Rights

The Director General for Human Rights, Manuel Mba Nchama, was recently decorated with the title of Doctor Honaris Causa in Education and Human Rights by the World Corporation for Businesses and Education (CORMUN); a prize which has the backing of the Peru University of Computer Science, which works closely with the Global Africa Foundation.

“Peace is a determining factor for the development of nations, and without it, development is impossible. Equatorial Guinea is a country that works for peace on a global level, and the fruit of this is the fact that it has been elected non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council; also a member of the AU Peace Council for Central Africa, which strengthens its desire to work for peace and global stability”, affirmed the recently decorated Director General.

On of the main tasks carried out by Mba Nchama are the awareness-raising seminars for the agents of public order on respect for Human Rights, a feature that has helped him become recognised on a global level through the awards granted in recent months. In addition to the Honoris Causa title, he has also received the award of Honorary Master in Human Rights, being the first Equatoguinean to receive these recognitions in matters of Human Rights.

These awards should make us look at who we are, what we do, and what we should do. To receive an award motivates one to continue to work in favour of may country and the world, as everyone involved in this matter should be at the service of humanity”, affirmed Mba Nchama.

At the same time, the Director General for Human Rights recognised that “Equatorial Guinea has made huge strides in matters of Human Rights, and so this recognition is for the people of Equatorial Guinea”,
