Marathon to mark the birthday of Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue

The Ministry for Education, specifically the sports section, joined the celebration of the 50th birthday of the Vice-President of the Republic, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, with a range of sporting activities that began on Tuesday 25th June with a marathon on the Promenade, and continued with football competitions in the Malabo Stadium.

Members of the Athletics Federation formed part of the organisation, with assistance from the Secretary of State for Sports, Pedro Mabale Fuga. A total of 58 participants signed up to compete; 6 girls and 52 boys, some of them students.

In the race, which had the finish line on the Promenade, a total of 14 boys and 6 girls arrived first, and won cash prizes.
