The new head of Social Affairs and Gender Equality has took up her position on 20th February, at an act that was overseen by the Third Vice Prime Minister, Charged with Human Rights, Alfonso Nsue Mokuy.
The ceremony took place in the meeting room at the ministry, and was attended by the vice-minister, director generals, and officials.
At the session, the outgoing minister, Consuelo Ondo Nzang, and the incoming minister, Consuelo Nguema Owana, both spoke.
Ondo Nzang thanked the Head of State for the trust placed in her, and pointed out some of the achievements from her mandate.
The incoming minister expressed her congratulations to the presidential couple and affirmed that her aim was to continue the work started by her predecessor, for which she asked for the support of her collaborators in order to work together in favour of women.
Finally, the act finished with words from the Third Vice Prime Minister, who congratulated the ministers.
