The Minister for Finance, the Economy and Planning, Cesar Augusto Mba Abogo, has held a meeting with the components of Doing Business, a platform that publishes reports on the business climate in all the countries in the world linked to the World Bank. The meeting took place at the headquarters of the bank, in Washington. The meeting took place through conversations held in the United States capital with the World Bank group which is responsible for international reports on the business climate.
Doing Business helps investors to go about their business in a climate of absolute legal security, and periodically produces a list of countries in which business can be done in decreasing order.
In order to place the Republic of Equatorial Guinea as one of the most sought-after countries regarding business climate, the Minister for Finance has spoken to the components of the platform. The main aim was to analyse the situation in our country, and look at the possibility of effective cooperation in order that the Republic of Equatorial Guinea climbs the Doing Business index.
In the presence of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea Ambassador to the United States, Miguel Ntutumu Evuna, Mba Abogo and the official from the World Bank spoke about various points that would contribute to the achievement of the objective, while via video conference various aspects related to the business climate was explained to members of the Government.
