On Friday 9th June, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Agapito Mba Mokuy received the ambassadors from Chad, South Africa, Venezuela and the People’s Republic of China in his office.
During the minister’s audience with the ambassador from Chad, Ngaryanan Djaque, the conversation between the two diplomats focussed on consular matters between the two countries.
In the meeting held with the ambassador from South Africa, Victor Ranbau, they spoke about holding the Mixed Commission between the two countries, a meeting which will allow the adoption of important agreements regarding bilateral cooperation between South Africa and Equatorial Guinea.
The Ambassador from the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Daniel Josue Cartaya Laya, congratulated the Government of Equatorial Guinea and the Head of State, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, for our country’s OPEC membership, and also for becoming a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council.
The ambassador from the People’s Republic of China, Chen Gouyou, was the last to meet Mba Mokuy, with whom he analysed the cooperation in various sectors, including international cooperation. The ambassador passed on his Government’s congratulations to Equatorial Guinea for the election as non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.
