On the morning of 29th January, the Vice-Minister for African Relations, Yuri Pimentel, made a courtesy visit to the Equatorial Guinea Embassy in Caracas, and was received on arrival by the Republic of Equatorial Guinea Ambassador to Venezuela, Carmelo Micha Nguema Misi, accompanied by the Adviser and the First Secretary from the Embassy, Pancracio Bee Ebang and Faustino Nsang Anvene.
The visit occurred within the framework of the programme of the Venezuelan Vice-Ministry of African Relations to make courtesy visits to African diplomatic missions at the beginning of each year.
During the meeting, Pimentel expressed gratitude from the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, H. E. Nicolas Maduro, and the Minister Jorge Arreaza, for the position of the Government of Equatorial Guinea at the meeting on Venezuela which took place at the United Nations Security Council, where there was a call for inter-Venezuelan dialogue and a peaceful solution to its problems without foreign interference.
It is a posture that reaffirms -indicated the Vice-Minister- a clear condemnation of the attempts at undermining which could create destabilisation in Venezuela and, in a clear parallel, transform it into a situation like Libya”.
