The Equatorial Guinea Ambassador to France, Miguel Oyono Ndong Mifumu, has received in Paris a delegation from the Association of the Union of African Youth, led by its representatives, Fanguinoven Stein and Heutcheu Saint-Denis.
“We must not mortgage our young people, they are our future”, said the ambassador, highlighting the importance of African youth. Furthermore, he declared that “generational change is a principle established at the embassy, where the average age is below 30 years”.
This initiative, inspired by H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, “aims to establish the African cultural notion of transmission of knowledge uniting youth and wisdom” said the ambassador, and added that “courage does not count the number of years”.
Ndong Mifumu is convinced that the future of our continent depends on equality between men and women, an idea formulated by H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, so that the Equatoguinean woman is associated with all the decisions in the community in order to achieve greater well-being.
“A single people, a single nation, we are African citizens”, concluded the ambassador.
