On 13th Febrary, the Extraordinary Plenipotentiary Equatorial Guinea Ambassador before the Swiss Confederation, Lazaro Ekua Avomo, was received in audience by the Ambassador Anne Lugon-Moulin, Director of the Division of Sub-Saharan and French-speaking Africa from the Swiss Federal Department for Foreign Relations.
The meeting between Lazaro Ekua Avomo and Anne Lugon-Moulin took place in the federal Palace, in the city of Bern.
The meeting between the two diplomats served as an occasion to review bilateral relations between Equatorial Guinea and Switzerland. In a very cordial atmosphere, the meeting was an opportunity to strengthen relations between the two countries ans set up a more coordinated organisation in order to increase cooperation in other areas.
To that end, the Swiss diplomat asked for the help of Equatorial Guinea through its experience as Non-permanent Member of the United Nations Security Council, as Switzerland is seeking the position in 2023. Lazaro Ekua Avomo took note of this request, and promised to pass it on to the Government.
