On the morning of Sunday 22nd September, and following various weeks of incidents regarding the supply of drinking water in the city of Bata, a meeting took place between representatives of the Presidency of the Government, the Ministry for Industry and Energy, the Ministry for Public Works, Housing and Town Planning, and the companies responsible for the supply, OTV-SOMMAGEC Equatorial Guinea, who provided conclusive results deriving from the progressive re-establishment of the supply in the city.
The Representative and head of the OTV-SOMMAGEC Equatorial Guinea Distribution Network for Drinking Water, Matias Edjawe Ebala, provided the following details regarding the incidents.
The Inspector General for Electrical Services in the Continental Region, Andres Masa Angue, in his capacity as representative of the Ministry for Industry and Energy, also provided a detailed explanation of the provisions taken in order to resolve the problem with the supply.
The meeting concluded with instructions that the Regional Inspector for Road maintenance, representing the Ministry for Public Works, Housing and Town Planning, aimed at users.
