The President of the Russia Federation, H. E. Vladimir Putin and his collaborators, received on 24th October the Head of State and Government of Equatorial Guinea, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, in one of the rooms at the Conference Centre in Sochi.
At the appointment, the bilateral relationship was of importance, as President Obiang Nguema Mbasogo expressed the wish of the Government to count on the vast experience of Russia in the gas sector, so that it could be a strategic partner for Equatorial Guinea in the establishment of cooperation in the mastery of hydrocarbons.
In the presence of the ministers for Foreign Affairs, Simeon Oyono Esono; External Security, Juan Antonio Bibang Nchuchuma; Mines and Hydrocarbons, Gabriel Obiang Lima, and Commerce, Pastor Micha Ondo, among others, H. E. Vladimir Putin and H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo declared their willingness to continue working to strengthen cooperation and make it more dynamic, more attractive, more effective and for the exploration of new areas of common interest for the benefit of their peoples.
The Equatoguinean President issued an invitation to his Russian counterpart to attend the V Summit of Heads of State of Gas Exporting Countries, which is to be held in Equatorial Guinea in November.
