At the meeting, held at the headquarters of the Regional Delegation for Information in Bata, Eugenio Nze Obiang, Minister for Information, press and radio, presented the Secretaries of State, the General Secretary, and the director generals appointed by the Presidency of the Republic.
The meeting also served as an opportunity to evaluate the work done by the ministry during the year, and what remains to be carried out,
Nze Obiang, in his speech, praised his personnel for the results achieved by the department “the fruit of the good work they had been doing together”, and underlined that “we have done a lot, and there is still a lot to do”. In addition, he called on his personnel to comply with the demands of administrative law, given that unjustified absences by some officials had been noticed,”many are paid, but without carrying out the functions they are called on to do”. He also announced that, in the near future, the department will begin to take coercive action with respect to those who continue with this type of behaviour.
Then, the General Secretary read the record of actions that the new ministerial team has carried out from 2015 to 2018, and what remained to be done for 2019.
