On Thursday 4th April, the Minister for Mines and Hydrocarbons, Gabriel Mbega Obiang Lima, received in one of the meeting rooms at the Palace of Conferences in Sipopo the General Secretary of the GEFC (Gas Exporting Countries Forum), Yuri Centyurin.
During the meeting, Centyurin highlighted the good organisation of the VII APPO CAPE Conference. For his part, the minister reported on the upcoming conferences to be held in our country in October and November of this year, to which were invited heads from African countries in OPEC and APPO.
The minister also referred to the mission of GEFC as members of OPEC, underlining that Equatorial Guinea will be the first African country to organise a summit of Heads of State from gas exporting countries, as it has suitable infrastructure and experience in the organisation of large events.
