Within the activities on the work schedule of the Prime Minister of the Government, Charged with Administrative Coordination, Francisco Pascual Obama Asue, was a meeting with the commission charged with analysing matters between the State and the Catholic Church.
In accordance with collaboration conventions between the Episcopal Conference of Equatorial Guinea and the Government, the members of the commission held a meeting with Obama Asue on 3rd October, at the Presidency of the Government Headquarters in Malabo II.
The meeting stemmed from the letter of 30th August sent by the metropolitan Archbishop and president of the Episcopal Conference of Equatorial Guinea, Juan Nsue Edjang, to the Prime Minister; a letter in which he presented to the Executive the need to provide economic means to maintain worship, the sustenance of the clergy, and works of charity.
The president of this entourage made up of seven members, Jacinto Obama Eyene, adviser at the Ministry for Public Administration, faced the press at the end of the meeting.
Obama Asue and the seven members of the commission looked in detail at the proposals put forward.
