The General Secretary of the Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea (PDGE), Jeronimo Osa Osa Ecoro, granted an audience, at the National Office in Malabo, to the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Equatorial Guinea, Chen Gouyou.
During the audience, the Chinese diplomat reaffirmed to the Equatoguinean politician the support of the Government of his country against the failed terrorist attack on 24th December.
The ambassador also reported to the General Secretary on the grants that his Government provides for Equatorial Guinea every year. In 2018 our country will receive 35 grants. The National Coordination for Grants, of which Jeronimo Osa Osa Ecoro is the coordinator, will send to the embassy a list of 85 candidates who will take the tests to obtain the grants.
The creation of groups in the PDGE was also one of the issues addressed. The ambassador passed on to the General Secretary an invitation from the Communist Party of China, (CPC) to visit China during the year, accompanied by a delegation of twenty party members.
Gouyou proposed to the Secretary that the Chinese Embassy in Malabo, together with the PDGE National Office, organises cultural activities on the historical and cultural realities of the two countries.
For his part, Osa Osa Ecoro, in the name of the President Founder of the PDGE, H. E: Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, passed on greetings to the Chinese people for the New Year 2018, and expressed the gratitude of the party for Chinese support and solidarity shown to Equatorial Guinea regarding the failed mercenary invasion on 24th December.
Osa Osa recognised the support that China provides our country in the training of human resources, and accepted the invitation offered by the Communist Party to make a trip and continue with the exchange of experiences between the two political parties.
