On 4th October, the Head of State, in his capacity as President Founder of the PDGE, met members of the special commissions created by the party to oversee and supervise the internal elections.
To congratulate, advise and reflect on everything that will help the PDGE consolidate its leadership, and to ensure that all the militants are cohesive with respect to the grouping, were some of the aspects covered at the meeting which was held at the National Office headquarters in Malabo, between the Founder President, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, and the coordinating presidents of the geopolitical areas for the internal elections.
The PDGE has been immersed in an irreversible democratic process in recent days, a two-phase process of preparation for the internal elections which will culminate on 12th November with the general elections to renew the National Parliament, in other words, the two chambers and the municipal corporations”, said Jeronimo Osa Osa Ecoro, the PDGE General Secretary, before the press.
He also declared that the President Founder had followed the process of these elections on a national level, and that the results were good, as both the coordinating presidents of the task and the militancy had responded positively, in addition to the massive participation of the latter.
These internal elections took place in an atmosphere of remarkable civic spirit, peace and tranquillity, which has once again demonstrated the capacity and assimilation of the militancy within the political philosophy of Democratic Trial.
It was necessary for the President Founder to come and congratulate the group that has carried out this great task given to them by the party and, at the same time, provide them with the advice and corresponding reflections for the next stages which will bring to a close the process with the voting on 12th of the month of November”, added Osa Osa Ecoro.
In addition to serving as an opportunity to congratulate those called to the meeting for their good work, the appointment was also attended by the Vice-President of the party, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, and the Deputy Secretary, Jesusa Obono Engono.
On 5th October, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo will address a plenary session of permanent and non-permanent members of the PDGE Executive Board, at the headquarters in Malabo.
