Meeting of CEEAC countries on development of value chains

The recent development meeting held in the city of Duala, Cameroon, including the participation of the member States of the Economic Community of Central African States (CEEAC), among them the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, took place with the aim of prioritising and validating the regional agricultural value chains.

Organised by the CEEAC General Secretary, and with the financial and technical support of the African Union Office for Research and Development of Food Crops in Semi-arid Areas of Africa (AU-SAFGRAD), the meeting focussed on the exchange of knowledge on the development of value chains in the central African region based on the experience of member States.

They also debated the importance of the value chains in the process of socio-economic integration, and the measures adopted by the CEEAC in matters of agricultural development with respect to the application of the General Programme for the Development of Agriculture in Central Africa.
