The Vice-Minister for Health and Social Welfare, Praxedes Rabat Makambo, representing the departmental minister, Salomon Nguema Owono, oversaw the closing ceremony of the Meeting of Directors of National Vaccination Programmes in Central African Countries.
At the start of his speech, the vice-minister recognised that, following intense work, the representatives of Central African countries had analysed the questions up for debate over the three days.
Equatorial Guinea promised to improve and implement the recommendations from the meeting, in order to strengthen the vaccination programme in the months to come.
The Vice-Minister also reported that the Government of our country, despite financial difficulties caused by the current world economic crisis, is financing vaccination programmes, and underlined the support of the sponsors in achieving that aim.
