The Thirty-third African Union (AU) Conference held in Niger, from 4th to 8th of July, had its second day on Friday 5th July, with the aim of bringing together experts in the fight against Cancer in Africa, in the Gran Hotel in Niger, including ministers for Health and Social Welfare, and African First Ladies.
The Minister of State, Charged with Health and Social Welfare, Salomon Nguema Owono, represented Equatorial Guinea at the meeting.
The First Lady of Niger, Lalla Malika Issoufou, together with other First Ladies from Africa, among them Constancia Mangue de Obiang, assumed the responsibility for saying no to cancer in Africa.
This conference tool place on the fringes of the Thirty-third AU Summit, under the banner, “The burden of cancer in Africa”.
