At the Interministerial Council meeting overseen by the Prime Minister of the Government, Charged with Administrative Coordination, Francisco Pascual Obama Asue, which was held on Wednesday 30th October at the headquarters of the Ministry for Finance, the Economy and Planning in Malabo II, they covered seven of the nine points on the agenda. After the adoption of the Agenda and a reading of the minutes from the previous session, the commissions for the preparations for the Summit of Heads of State of Gas Producing Countries, led by the ministries for Mines and Hydrocarbons, Foreign Affairs and Cooperation and Interior and Local Corporations, presented the state of the preparations for this important event for the hydrocarbons sector which will be held in Equatorial Guinea from 25th to 29th November this year.
Following that, the Ministry for Finance presented both the Draft Project for the Amending Law for the 2019 Budget, and the Draft Project Law for the General State Budgets for the 2020 Economic Period.
The sixth of the points debated by the members of the Government present was the Draft Project Regulatory Law on the Social Protection System, presented by the Ministry for Social Affairs and Gender Equality.
Following the agenda, the last of the matters covered at the meeting, which was attended by the First and Third Vice Prime Ministers of the Government, Clemente Engonga Nguema Onguene and Alfonso Nsue Mokuy respectively, was the Draft Project Decree to create the Tourist Visa in the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, a point argued jointly by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, and Culture, Tourism and Craft Promotion, with the two final points on the agenda at this Interministerial meeting being postponed for the next session.
