The First Deputy Secretary General of the Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea (PDGE), Jesusa Obono Engono Nchama, received in her office at the party headquarters in Malabo, on Monday, April 13, the Ambassador of Cuba in Equatorial Guinea, Pedro Doña Santana.
The visit of the Cuban Ambassador, Pedro Doña Santana, to the First Deputy Secretary General of the PDGE, Jesusa Obono Engono, served to deliver a message of congratulations from the Communist Party of Cuba on her new appointment, and also an invitation from the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, for a PDGE delegation to attend the celebration of May Day in the working days in Havana, an event that annually brings together delegations of political parties and movements of solidarity with the Cuban people.
Jesusa Obono Engono, for her part, thanked and congratulated the Communist Party for the invitation, as an example of the excellent relations of friendship and cooperation between Cuba and Equatorial Guinea.
After meeting with the First Deputy Secretary General of the PDGE, Pedro Doña Santana said that in addition to discussing the state of relations between the Communist Party of Cuba and the PDGE, at the meeting the two officials also discussed political, diplomatic and cooperation issues in general.
