Members of the Senate Table, led by its President, Teresa Efua Asangono, met on 12th November in Sipopo to set up the ad-hoc commissions that will take charge of the preliminary study of the draft General State Budgets, for the 2019 economic period, together with the execution, to 30th June, of the budgets for the current 2018 period.
With the agenda containing a total of three points adopted, the members of the Senate Table focussed on the four papers of the preliminary study of the Draft General State Budgets for the 2019 economic period, and the execution of the 2018 budgets.
Apart from debating aspects related to the budgets, with the aim of maintaining and keeping the fiscal accounts balances, and thus contributing towards a fiscal policy which allows the reactivation of the economy and the boosting of the private sector, the members of the table also debated questions regarding the successful operation of the institution, which has as its aim the promotion of actions developed by the Government for the benefit of Equatoguinean society.
On the same day, the members of the table met the Board of Spokespersons from the parliamentary groups of the Democratic Coalition and the PDGE, to debate and agree to the draft agenda created by the table for the final phase of the ordinary period of sessions.
The draft agenda debated includes a study and approval of the composition of the four ad-hoc commissions and the papers that will be the object of preliminary study for the 2019 draft budgets, and the execution of the 2018 budgets. This point, due to its social relevance and impact, was adopted by chief and deputy spokespersons from the PDGE parliamentary group, Antonio Pascual Oko Ebobo and Maria Teresa Avoro Nguema, and the deputies from the Democratic Coalition, Buenaventura Monsuy Asumu and Francisco Mba Olo Bahamonde.
The draft agenda will be presented for consideration by the Senate plenary session for definitive approval, in the event.
