The Senate Table, overseen by Teresa Efua Asangono, met on 29th October in Sipopo, the provisional headquarters of the institution, to evaluate, coordinate and agree to the work within the Senate’s remit to be done in the near future.
The Senate Table meets periodically to evaluate, organise and agree to the activities it will carry out during the second ordinary period of parliamentary sessions for 2018.
Assisted by the Second Vice-President of the Upper Chamber, Agustin Nze Nfumu, the leader of the Senate, Teresa Efua Asangono, presented a six-point agenda to the meeting, including the reading and approval of the minutes from the meeting which took place on 30th August; the report on the call to appear by the Prime Minister of the Government, presented by the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Coalition; the organisation of the work of pre-selection for candidates to the Accounts Tribunal, as a new body created within the framework of constitutional reform; and the organisation of activities pending for execution during the second ordinary period of parliamentary sessions.
The agenda, in addition to any other business, also covered various issues and projects presented by the President of the Senate.
