The meeting took place on a date very close to the arrival of a senior delegation from the sister Republic of Guinea, which will make an official visit to our country at the invitation of the Senate from 29th October to 2nd November.
Those called to the meeting, overseen by the President of the Senate, Teresa Efua Asangono, agreed on the agenda to follow for the programme of activities planned by the legislative body during the four-day stay on the delegation from the National Assembly of the Republic of Guinea on Equatoguinean soil, led by its president, Claude Kory Kondiano.
Among the activities organised by the Senate to mark the visit is a courtesy meeting between the President of the Upper Chamber of the National Parliament and her counterpart from the National Assembly of the Republic of Guinea, an extraordinary plenary session, in addition to visits to places of tourist and historical interest, the signing of a memorandum of understanding and a joint communique between the two institutions, which will conclude with a press conference.
Kory Kondiano will speak to senior figures from State institutions in order to intensify the close historic relations of cooperation that go back to the gaining of national independence, according to words from the President of the Senate.
