The Minister of Youth and Sports, who is also Chairman of the Local Organization of the African Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea (COCAN GE), has conducted an evaluation meeting to discuss the development of the championship in the first ten days.
The meeting was held in the new building of GE Projects, at its headquarters in Nkoantoma (Bata), on Monday, January 26, and brought together members of the various committees that manage the preparation of this sporting event in the country. Precisely, there were representatives of the committees of transportation, technical and sports, security, accommodation, general secretariat, information, treasury, Health and Ebola, energy, marketing, communication and civil aviation.
Each member of these committees have reported on the difficulties of the organization before and during the event. The challenges that remain for the next phase were also discussed.
The event was coordinated by the organizing chairman of the CAN GE and Minister of Youth and Sports, Pascual Eyegue Obama Asue, who congratulated the committee members for doing their duty. He also recalled that they only had fifty days to organize the event, and that the conditions of the stadiums are perfect, as are the lodging for the teams. He also apologized for the mistakes that may have occurred up to now.
The meeting continued with the analysis of the most important aspects that remain so that the CAN 2015 can culminate with much success, as it has until now.
