The Head of State, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, has sent a message of condolence to the King of Spain, H. M. Felipe VI, in response to the attack which took place on Thursday 17th August in the city of Barcelona. The entire contents are published below.
To His Majesty Felipe VI, King of Spain
We have received the sad and lamentable news of the terrorist attacks carried out in the cities of Barcelona and Tarragona. In them, 13 people died and various people were injured.
Saddened by the news, the people of Equatorial Guinea and its Government join with me in expressing to His Majesty and the Spanish people our deepest sympathies for this barbarity.
In this context, we declare our full moral support and solidarity, sentiments which I ask His Majesty to pass on to the families of the victims.
