The Minister for Mines and Hydrocarbons and President of the National Commission on Initiatives for Transparency for Extractive Industries (EITI), Gabriel Mbega Obiang Lima, accompanied by the Vice-President of the National Commission, Priscila Obono Ateba Anguesomo, went to the city of Kogo to carry out the work of the IX Ordinary Meeting of the EITI National Commission, in 22nd and 23rd February.
The meeting took place at the Hotel Ocean Resort, where the member of the Government was received by local, civil and military authorities from the Government Delegation, where he reported to those present on the reason for the visit.
Following a short speech, the Government Delegate from the district of Kogo, Similiano Nsue Engono, wished the minister a happy stay in the city, and hoped that he felt at home.
After a short break, the entourage led by Gabriel Mbega Obiang Lima visited places of interest to tourists, with the first stop at the Virgen del Carmen Catholic Church, where they receive information on the work of the church over the years. They continued with visits to Puerto Iradier, Aljibe Bridge and Akelayong.
