Minister for Culture and Casa Africa plan VIII Vis a Vis Festival

The Minister for Culture and Craft Promotion, Rufino Ndong Esono Nchama, met the director general of Casa Africa, Luis Padron, with whom he spoke about important matters related to the Vis a Vis Festival.

Accompanied by the Spanish Ambassador to Equatorial Guinea, Guillermo Antonio Lopez Mac-Lellan, the head of Casa Africa went to the office of the minister Ndong Esono, to look at the celebration of the VIII Vis a Vis Festival 2018.

Within the framework of the programme that is being put together in the department to promote national artists, the two spoke at length about the participation of Equatoguinean artists at the festival, which is to be held in March.

The festival has been held in Luanda, Dakar and Cape Verde. 2018 is an emblematic year for relations between the Equatoguinean and Spanish States, and for that reason we want to arrange a meeting in the world of culture, music and arts from both countries”, said Luis Padron.

The intention of both parties is to celebrate this eighth edition in Equatorial Guinea. This is an event to promote Equatoguinean artists and musicians, and the intention is to have musical proposals in January 2018, which will then be looked at by the directors of the festival in Spain, and the twelve best songs or groups will perform in the final phase”, said Luis Padron.

The minister, satisfied by the aims of Casa Africa, revealed that the signing of the convention for the celebration will take place on 26th of this month.
