On 6th August a meeting took place between the Minister for Culture, Tourism and Craft Promotion, Rufino Ndong Esono Nchama, and the head of the company Blue Ocean Group, Richard Duane Armijo, at which various topics were covered, including the refurbishment or construction of the ECOFAC Hotel, the exploitation and adaptation of the beaches, and the attraction of tourists to the Republic of Equatorial Guinea.
According to the presented projects, the minister Rufino Ndong Esono indicated that one of the main aspects concerning the Government is the refurbishment or construction of the ECOFAC Hotel, located in the continental region of the country around Mount Alen, and the exploitation and adaptation of the beaches and attracting tourists to Equatorial Guinea.
The Executive has already envisaged the construction of hotel infrastructure, as we must implement actions to improve and exploit even further the tourism and culture sector in our country. The Republic of Equatorial Guinea has around twenty-four beaches, and it is necessary to work with companies that invest in the exploitation of these resources”, indicated the minister, regarding the current needs of the Government.
The meeting was attended by the Vice-Minister from the Department and the Secretary of State for Tourism, Prudencio Botey Sobole and Catalina Martinez Asumu, respectively, and Anthony J. Renzi, lawyer from the company Blue Ocean Group, among other figures.
