Minister for Health attends World Health Assembly

The official Equatorial Guinea delegation led by Salomon Nguema Owono, Minister of State for health and Social Welfare, is currently taking part in World health Assembly number 72, from 20th to 25th May. This assembly is organised by the WHO (World health Organisation), which has its headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, and this year’s edition has the slogan: “Health for all, leave no one behind”.

On 22nd May, Nguema Owono, representing the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, addressed all the ministers of health from around the world who had gathered.

On 23rd, the minister met the Director of the World health Organisation for Africa, Matshidiso Moeti, to share points of view on the health policy in our country and the region.

The minister was accompanied by Lazaro Avomo, Ambassador and Permanent Representative, and Nicanor Ondo Monsuy, Second Secretary from the Embassy and Permanent Mission in Switzerland.
