Minister for Mines gives press conference

The Minister for Mines and Hydrocarbons, Gabriel Mbega Obiang Lima, made it clear before the media that the relationship between China and Equatorial Guinea is one of special, lasting and integrated cooperation, as China has been and is one of the best partners for Equatorial Guinea, who has always been supportive in the execution of various projects, and thus this round of tenders with the aim of attracting Chinese investors to the African country is appropriate.

Along the same lines, Mbega Obiang Lima stressed that, thanks to the initiative of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea in approaching investors, this round of tenders taking place in various countries is a positive start to 2020, which is the year of investment.

The minister believes that the responsibility for development in Equatorial Guinea is in the hands of Equatoguineans themselves, and thus it is important to create small and medium-sized companies to support the Government in the quest for common development.
