The Minister of State, Charged with Tourism, Tomas Mecheba Fernandez Galilea, attended the VI Global Tourism Economy Forum (GTEF), which took place in the Special Economic Region of Macao (China) on 16th and 17th October.
The event featured the presence of over 130 delegations, including ministers, leaders from internationally renowned corporations, and international experts and academics, and aimed to explore how collaboration regarding tourism characterised by shared interests and mutual respect is conducive to the construction of a better future for nations and regions.
The event was attended by the Vice-president of the Chinese National Administration for Tourism (CNTA) and the General Secretary of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) and Honorary President of GTEF, Taled Rifai, among other figures.
GTEF has become a key platform which brings together leaders from the global tourism industry with the aim of creating a clear perspective for the economy of the sector.
