Minister for Transport speaks to delegation from SAPound o Tome and Principe

On 22nd May, Rufino Ovono Ondo received a delegation from SAPound o Tome and Principe, led by the Minister for Foreign Relations and the Minister for Public Works, Infrastructures and Natural Resources, Osvaldo Abreu.

The Minister from SAPound o Tome and Principe, during the conversation, pointed out the need to collaborate and join our maritime transport market, as there is a huge trade potential for exchange between the two countries, a lot of goods can be bought here, in Equatorial Guinea, and we also have many products produced in SAPound o Tome and Principe that Equatorial Guinea is interested in”.

Finally he explained that his country had suffered in the last twenty years from two maritime accidents with human loss, and a lot of goods. Due to that and the availability of transit between out territories, he asked the department of Transport and the Government of Equatorial Guinea to strengthen the lines connecting the two countries.

In response, the Equatoguinean Minister for Transport offered support in what his counterpart required.
