Ministerial meeting of CEMAC energy hub in Congo Brazzaville

A senior delegation from the Malabo Government, led by the Minister for Industry and Energy, Miguel Ekua Ondoha, arrived early in Monday 28th October in Congo Brazzaville, to attend the ministerial meeting of the energy hub of Countries from the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CEMAC).

At Maya-Maya International Airport in Brazzaville, the Equatoguinean Minister for Industry and Energy, Miguel Ekua Ondo, was received by the Permanent Secretary from the energy hub for Central Africa, Jean-Chrysostome Mekondongo, and other members of the accredited Equatorial Guinea diplomatic mission before the Congolese Government.

Miguel Ekua Ondina and his delegation, made up of some director generals, arrived in Brazzaville to take part in the meeting of Industry and Energy Ministers from the zone.

The member of the Malabo Government will also attend the signing of an agreement on the interconnection project for electricity networks and cross-border electrification between the Republic of Equatorial Guinea and the Republic of Gabon.

Through this project, the Governments in the subregion aim to meet some of the recommendations from the Summit of Heads of State and Governments on the interconnection of countries in the region, and the setting up of a large project for the community on the free circulation of people and goods in the CEMAC area.
