New officials in Foreign Affairs take up posts

After swearing in before the President of the Republic, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, around nine director generals, ambassadors charged with missions, the General Inspector for Services, and the Secretary of State, Maria A�ngeles Miaga, took possession of their respective offices at the ministerial headquarters.

The Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Bonifacio Mitogo Edjang, oversaw the act on Monday 14th May, in the Ambassadors’ Room at the Ministry. In his words to the new senior officials named by the President of the Republic, he reminded them that the ministry had a plan of action that must be implemented, above all the agreements and treaties that Equatorial Guinea has signed bilaterally and multilaterally.

He also insisted that the execution of the action plan was carried out in accordance with the general State budget, and the necessary respect for the administrative hierarchy, discipline and punctuality at work.

Furthermore, he reported that he would grant the officials the means necessary to best carry out their functions.
