The new recently named post holders at the Ministry for National Defence, personnel at diplomatic missions and from the private sector, were sworn in on 24th August before the President of the Republic, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.
The Vice-President of the Republic, Charged with Defence and National Security, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, attended the act, together with heads from constitutional bodies, members of the Government, presidential advisers and officials from the National Office of the Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea.
Leandro Beka Ncogo, Inspector General of the Armed Forces and State Security Corps in the Continental Region; Argelio Ndong Nkoni, Director General for Training, Recruitment and Academies; Modesto Edu Nsue; Director General for Military Vehicles; and Director General for Personnel, Alejandro Mitogo Nnencoro, were among those sworn in.
In addition, Candida Okomo Nsue Mensa is the new deputy director general of Gepetrol, charged with petroleum operations; Leminio Akubeng Mba moves to carrying out the functions of the first secretary at the Equatorial Guinea Embassy the Federal Republic of Brazil, and Fabian Sima Onguene was also sworn in before the Head of State as our country’s Consul in Douala (Republic of Cameroon).
The President of the Republic, in his brief address, called on leaders in the military sector to show the respect and honour that should typify all military personnel. Furthermore, he brought up the question of delinquency, which has also besmirched the uniformed bodies due to the negligence of officers, in his words.
The act closed with salutations from H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.
