New stop of the PDGE tour in Nsok Nsomo

Maintaining peace is something we can do from each neighbor community,” said the Secretary General of the PDGE, Jeronimo Osa Osa Ecoro, in Nsok Nsomo, and he also announced in the home district of the Second Deputy Secretary General, Fortunato Ofa Mbo, that the Founding President, Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, will carry out a political tour in the year 2015, and they will have to be prepared to receive him. Once again, the members of the base cells of the party were the stars of the event.

-“The real date of independence of Equatorial Guinea is August 3, because that’s when we really were free,” said the Secretary General of the PDGE, Jeronimo Osa Osa Ecoro, in the auditorium of Nsok Nsomo, where the tour delegation arrived on Saturday, May 2. The population of the home district of the Second Deputy Secretary General, Fortunato Ofa Mbo, took to the streets to welcome the delegation of the party, and activists filled the auditorium during the ceremony.

– “We must avoid betrayal among our membership, and we need to rein in militants who are not genuine, as well as maintaining peace in our country, because we have a lot to lose, not only for us but for our future and our children,” said the Secretary, who placed great importance in his speech on the maintenance and revitalization of the party, to thereby maintain the stability and the pace of development. “Those who say they want a change… Why are we going to change if we are better than ever now? They say “change” thinking about their interests, but not about the interest of the nation, because Equatorial Guinea has not ever known a situation like the one we have now. And because of that, we will not make the mistake of losing what we have,” he affirmed.

-“Therefore,” continued the Secretary, “the mathematical equation of our Party must continue to be infallible: the number of militants equals the number of votes. It is not a message, it is a commitment,” also stated Osa Osa Ecoro, who informed the Nsomo Nsok militancy that the Founding President, Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, will also carry out a tour this year, a national tour.

Osa Osa praised the ability of the Founding President not only as head of State, but also as a Pan-Africanist. He again recalled that the peace and stability in this country, despite all the threats and attempted coups, have remained only thanks to him. “We will organize an Extraordinary National Congress,” he announced, “because this is a special year in which we have to make many important decisions.”

After the Secretary’s event, and in the same room, the leadership of the Women’s Organization of the PDGE (OMPDGE) also met with the coordinators and women militants, some of whom presented their points of view and main needs. Antonina Mico Mikue led the meeting since the First Deputy Secretary General, Jesusa Obono, traveled to China with the President.

On Sunday, after the religious ceremony in the parish of Nsok Nsomo, the tour delegation came to Ayene Efak, birthplace of the Second,Deputy Secretary General, Fortunato Ofa, where they had a meal which was also attended by the citizens, who regaled the party officials with many farm products in a colorful and cheerful ceremony.
