The Prime Minister of the Government, Charged with Administrative Coordination, Francisco Pascual Obama Asue, continued on the morning of Wednesday 6th march with his programme of visits to social housing that is currently showing a state of deterioration.
The occupants of some of the homes visited, as a precaution, have had to leave. The buildings by Arab Contractor visited were those in Malabo II, opposite the headquarters of the company.
The Prime Minister expressed his indignation with the builder China Dalian, due to the state of the housing in the inspected block. Nine families have had to be removed, and judging by the current condition of the interior, other families will also have leave their homes, independently of whether they have paid off their debt or are still in the payment process.
Obama Asue saw the flaws first hand, which have increased since the latest rainfall in the capital. The origin of the flaws is the poor quality of the materials used by China Dalian, the builder of a large part of the social housing in Malabo, including those at the toll road in Sipopo, which were visited on 27th February by the Prime Minister due to similar problems.
This time, those responsible for the Chinese company did not provide explanations- However, the supervising company, Atland Global, declared before Obama Asue that they had never agreed with the way China Dalian worked, and as a consequence had drawn up several reports explaining the reasons for their dissatisfaction.
